Riki Wessels will keep wicket in Sunday's Friends Life t20 match against Lancashire Lightning at Old Trafford with Chris Read rested ahead of Monday's return to LV= County Championship action.

Mick Newell will also preserve the core of his pace attack with Jake Ball and Ben Phillips in for Andre Adams and Luke Fletcher.

Graeme White maintains his place despite the inclusion of Samit Patel who has been made available after helping England to secure a 3-2 NatWest Series win over Sri Lanka.

Lancashire lie fifth in the North Group but have games in hand on the leading teams and retain strong hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages.
