The Trent Bridge Community Trust, the charitable arm of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, is recruiting aspiring coaches for the 2016 season.

The Smith Cooper sponsored programme provides successful candidates with a route into further education and careers in sport development and coaching.

In order to provide the opportunity to more applicants, the programme will be split into two sections with the first cohort’s programme running from 3 June to 22 July, and the second from 18 July to 2 September with a week’s break from 25-29 July. 

A two day induction course for successful candidates will take place on 2-3 June.

Opportunities to develop coaching practice on the course will include:

- Working alongside experienced Cricket Development Officers and Community Coaches

- Coaching target groups to gain an understanding of their needs as cricketers

- Assisting the Community and Development Department with their operations at domestic and international match days

- Receiving bespoke training, development and mentoring sessions
