Awaiting Nottinghamshire First-Class Debut
A Nottinghamshire Academy graduate, Fateh Singh has shown his fearlessness with bat and ball in List A outings for Notts Outlaws.
Having learned his craft with Cavaliers and Carrington in the Notts Premier League, the former Trent College student was handed a maiden international call-up in 2021. Selection for the England Under 19s' One Day International series against West Indies at home was followed by a place in the squad which toured Sri Lanka, as well as inclusion in the Young Lions’ World Cup squad for the tournament held in the Caribbean.
Singh’s first team debut with Notts was something of an anti-climax, with rain washing away the bulk of the Royal London Cup match against Yorkshire at York before he had chance to even take to the field.
A couple of further opportunities followed in 2021 and nine more came in 2022, including a top score of 45 against Middlesex at Grantham and best bowling figures of 2-7 against Leicestershire.
