After impressing on the county circuit for Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Essex, Harmer earned a spot in Lightning’s squad in 2020. She made her debut in 2021, in the opening fixture of the Charlotte Edwards Cup against South East Stars, where she hit 34 from 25 balls.
She went on to play eight further games in all formats that season, before joining Derbyshire for her county cricket in 2022. For the East Midlands county, she hit her T20 best of 70 in a win over Yorkshire off just 35 balls.
In the same year, the 22-year-old played seven games across regional tournaments, and was named in the Northern Supercharger’s squad for the second edition of The Hundred.
