Calvin Harrison initially impressed the Nottinghamshire coaching staff by scoring a hundred for Oxford MCCU in 2021 in their pre-season friendly against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, but it was his leg-spin which brought him the most plaudits in a remarkable first year as a professional.
On three occasions he claimed four wickets in an innings, on the way to becoming the Outlaws’ top wicket-taker in the Vitality Blast.
He has gone on to become a mainstay across formats, making his County Championship debut in 2023 and featuring regularly in subsequent campaigns.
He is also something of a staple in the slip-cordon, averaging better than a catch per match in First Class cricket.
