The 36-year-old starred with the ball as we thrashed Gloucestershire to extend our lead at the top of Division One.

Ealham took nine wickets inside two sessions on day two, including hisfirst five-wicket haul for Notts and also passed 50 wickets in a seasonfor the first time in his career.

He said: ?We?ve got ourselves in front with the points on the board and with only two games left it?s a good position to be in.

?We led from the front last year to win Division Two and we can do itagain. Kent and Hampshire have to chase us now but we have to keep itgoing as they are the only sides to have beaten us this season.

?If we can beat Kent, we?re pretty much there. It?s going to beinteresting and I?ve had this date pencilled in since the start of theseason.?
