Women and Girls

Attracting & retaining more women and girls in cricket

Women and girls’ cricket has seen vast growth over recent years, both in the recreational and professional game.

Trent Bridge plays host to The Blaze, who represent the East Midlands in the domestic structure of elite women’s cricket. Nottinghamshire’s County Age Groups feed into The Blaze’s Emerging Player Programme and Academy, which provide the pathway for senior representation.

To ensure girls have every opportunity to take up the game, there are a multitude of playing offers - all of which can be seen in our Girls’ Cricket section.

We are also aware that there remains a need to facilitate playing opportunities for women who have never taken part in cricket before, and hence our softball festivals and leagues.

For those with prior experience, or who want to progress through softball, hardball opportunities are available

These can all be found in our Women’s Cricket section.

There are multiple ways you can get involved besides playing; including becoming a qualified coach, umpire or scorer.

For information on how you can play, or become part of our workforce, visit the relevant sections of our website or email abbie.johnson@trentbridge.co.uk or jemima.dalton@trentbridge.co.uk
