Ben Duckett and Jake Ball have been called up to England’s squad for the Royal London Internationals against Pakistan.

The 50-over series gets underway in Cardiff on Thursday with further matches to follow on Saturday 10 and Tuesday 13 July.

Duckett, an eight-time England international during his career to date, is averaging 27.55 with a strike rate of 153 during the 2021 Vitality Blast.

He is currently unbeaten on 69 in the LV= Insurance County Championship fixture against Derbyshire having also kept wicket during the Derbyshire first innings.

Dane Schadendorf will replace him in the Nottinghamshire team for the final two days of the match in line with competition rules, thus making his First-Class debut.

Ball, who has represented his country on 24 occasions, has 18 Blast wickets at an average of 15 this year so far, with only Leicestershire’s Naveen-Ul-Haq having taken more.
