Off-spinner Emma Marlow, wicketkeeper Ella Claridge and Ben Mike complete the Trent Rockets squads as the final players for The Hundred are confirmed.

Nottingham-born Mike has enjoyed a stellar all-round season in the Vitality Blast, scoring 213 runs at a strike rate of touching 160 and adding 15 wickets at an average of just under 25.

18-year-old Marlow, who will line up alongside cricketing hero Katherine Brunt, gets her first taste of The Hundred, following impressive performances for Northern Diamonds.

Claridge, Buckinghamshire’s top scorer in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, who has also represented Lightning in the past two summers, re-joins the Rockets set up having been involved in the inaugural competition.

Elsewhere, Lightning trio Grace Ballinger, Nancy Harman (both London Spirit) and Bethany Harmer (Northern Superchargers) will turn out in the second edition of the competition.

Rockets wicketkeeper Claridge said: “I got my first taste of The Hundred last summer and loved every second of it.

“To be involved with Trent Rockets, and to play at a great venue like Trent Bridge, is an amazing opportunity.

“I can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere again.”

All-rounder Mike added: “I loved watching the tournament unfold last summer and only heard great things about it from my teammates.

“It’s a chance to play with and against some of the biggest names in cricket. It’s a great opportunity to showcase what I’m about.

“Growing up in Nottingham I’ve always loved playing at Trent Bridge so I’m very excited to call the ground my home for this portion of the summer.”

Sanjay Patel, Managing Director of The Hundred said: “Today is a really exciting moment as we confirm the squads for the second year of The Hundred. It’s great to see players like Richard Gleeson and George Scrimshaw being rewarded for impressive performances in the Vitality Blast, while we’ve got some exciting youngsters joining the women’s competition with the likes of Davina Perrin and Mahika Gaur being signed up.

“Everyone is welcome at The Hundred and we can’t wait to excite fans with world-class cricket and blockbuster entertainment in just under one month’s time.”

With the squads now complete, 12 nations are represented across the eight teams as the tournament gets underway in less than a month’s time.
