Josh Tongue and Ben Duckett have been named in England Men’s ODI and T20I squads for this month’s upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
Tongue, 28, and Duckett, 31, are each named in both squads, with a three-match T20I series beginning on Tuesday 15thSeptember at Utilita Bowl.
It marks a return to the T20I squad for Duckett after he enjoyed a fine individual campaign in The Hundred, with his uncapped Trent Rockets teammate, Aneurin Donald, also included.
James Coles, who was selected in the T20I squad to face India in July but is still awaiting a debut, retains his place, while his fellow uncapped Sussex player Henry Crocombe is in the ODI group.
After the Southampton opener, further 20-over fixtures will take place at Sophia Gardens and Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Thursday 17th and Saturday 19th September, respectively.
The same number of ODI contests will then follow, as the sides head to Banks Homes Riverside on Tuesday 22nd September, and then to Headingley two days later.
The Three Lions’ home summer draws to an end on Sunday 27th September with the final match of the 50-over series at the Kia Oval.
