Kyle Verreynne and Olly Stone have been named as the respective winners of the John Pye Auctions Player of the Month awards for July and August.

Wicketkeeper Verreynne, 29, made four appearances in the Metro Bank One Day Cup for the Outlaws in July, contributing a hefty 191 runs at an average of 63.67.

He also registered six catches and a stumping with the gloves as the Outlaws won three of their first four fixtures, eventually going on to reach the last four of the competition.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old fast bowler Stone enjoyed a purple patch throughout August as part of a wider season that has seen him in fine form.

He claimed 21 wickets at an average of just 15.29 apiece across the One Day Cup and the Rothesay County Championship.

Notably, he returned match figures of 10/94 in a three-day win over Surrey at the Kia Oval, becoming the first Notts bowler to take ten at the venue since Harold Larwood in 1936.

Verreynne and Stone were both presented with their awards prior to the start of play on day two of Notts’ Championship clash with neighbours Leicestershire at Trent Bridge.
