Attenborough (226-6, 17pts) drew with Notts Academy (194-8, 7pts)

Batsmen found it hard to score quickly on a slow pitch on the Strand. Attenborough,  put into bat by the Academy, struggled for the most of their innings and were thankful to Shaun Fitgibbon for a grafting innings of 62 in almost three.

Martin Shoemaker scored 45 as did Alan Moss who added much needed impetus to the innings scoring his runs in 36 balls, the Academy again conceding fifty from the last five overs.

Dan Cumming bowled well taking 4-29 from ten overs including three clean bowled and one leg before, a tribute to his accuracy.

When the Academy batted they in turn struggled to score freely.

Adam Tillcock’s 46 was useful but he had looked set for his 50 before he was lured out of his ground to be stumped. Scott Elstone was bowled by Murray for 36.

The Academy tried to keep up with the run rate but once Michael Robson (23) departed, Adam Shepherd was run out and Ollie Swann (25) and Bobby Gamble played out the last three overs for a draw.
