Second Eleven Championship
Day 2 of 3
Notts 355 & 73-0 Leicestershire 304

Peter Turnbull and Brett Hutton extended their last wicket stand to 120 before Turnbull was bowled for 114 leaving Hutton 60 not out.

The Leicestershire innings was almost a mirror image of that of the home side.

Notts chipped away taking wickets at regular intervals but again it was the last two wickets that added 93, the tenth wicket being responsible for 75 of these.

The visitors’ equivalent of Turnbull was Liam Kinch who was left not out on 93.

Brett Hutton bowled particularly well for figures of 3-30 from seventeen overs. Two run outs aided Notts in the field. A good throw from the boundary by Michael Robson led to both batsman being at the same end and then Sam Kelsall threw down the wicket from short mid wicket.

Notts ended with a lead of 51 on first innings which was added to stylishly by Tom Rowe and Sam Kelsall in the final sixteen overs of the day to finish on 73-0, Rowe 37 and Kelsall 30 leaving all to play for on the final day
