Nottinghamshire favourite David Hussey has been named Player of the League in Australia's big bash.

The Australian batsman has a long-association with Trent Bridge and has already expressed an interest in another stint with his adopted county in 2012.

Hussey scored 243 runs with an average of 40.5 in the group stage of the tournament in addition to taking eight wickets for Melbourne Stars.

Sydney Sixers beat Perth Scorchers to win the tournament final.
