Ajmal Shahzad will return to action following a bout of food poisoning in today's red ball friendly against Leicestershire (play starts 11am).

Shahzad sat out of Tuesday's action but returns in a four-pronged seam attack alongside Ben Phillips, Andy Carter and Harry Gurney.

Alex Hales and Sam Kelsall will open the batting with Steven Mullaney given a chance to impress in whites after a strong off-season in Australia and Barbados.

Andre Adams will watch from the Pavilion after checking-in for the penultimate year of his Nottinghamshire contract.

Admission is free for all supporters.
