Five Nottinghamshire players have been named in a 30-man England squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup in the New Year.

Stuart Broad, Harry Gurney, Alex Hales, Samit Patel and James Taylor have all been included, and are involved in various levels of the England setup this autumn.

Gurney, Hales and Taylor are in the midst of England’s One Day International series against Sri Lanka, while Samit Patel has been playing England’s EPP squad ahead of a limited-overs Lions tour in January.

Stuart Broad, still rehabilitating following knee surgery, has travelled to South Africa to join England’s EPP fast bowling camp.
