Traverse Trent Bridge from the skies with our inaugural zip wire event in September, raising funds for the Trent Bridge Community Trust.

The Trust’s latest charity event provides the opportunity to see the iconic Nottingham venue as never seen before, from 25 metres high, travelling 190 metres at speeds of up to 40mph.

The fundraising event is sponsored by Nottingham Building Society as part of a new business partnership, which also includes sponsorship of the Outlaws Cricket Zone, which is situated in the Trent Bridge Inn Courtyard at NatWest T20 Blast matches.

The Zip Wire Challenge will take place on Sunday 4 September, starting above the William Clarke Stand with a landing point at the Fox Road End of the ground.

The cost of registration is £25 including a fundraising pack complete with more information, a sponsorship form and FAQs.

On arrival, participants will receive an event t-shirt to commemorate their day.

“This event offers a unique and exciting opportunity to see Trent Bridge in a way that it's never been witnessed before, whilst also raising money that will directly influence the lives of disadvantaged young people for the better,” said Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s Commercial Director Justin Tose.

“Looking at the height and speed involved, those that take on the challenge will certainly earn their sponsorship, and they'll also get the best possible view of our historic venue.

"It's exciting for Trent Bridge to be hosting an event that's completely new, one that brings fresh interest to our venue, and something we hope to develop into an annual event."

Simon Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of the Nottingham Building Society (known as The Nottingham), said: “We are proud to announce our exciting new partnership with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

“The Zip Wire challenge is a fantastic way to showcase the benefits of our sponsorship deal with the team at Trent Bridge and I will be taking part in the event.

“At The Nottingham we have a wide programme of sports sponsorship that appeals to families in our heartland and offers a chance for youngsters to get involved in sport at a grassroots level.

“We are also committed to investing in our communities and sponsoring events that raise much needed funds for charities across our trading area.”
