Nottinghamshire (355 & 253-5 dec) lost to Leicestershire (304 & 305-6) by 4 wickets

Day three proved to be all to play for as suggested at the end of the second day.

Notts declared and left Leicestershire 305 to win from 57 overs.

Thanks to centuries from  Australian Leo Garrett who scored 109 and Ned Eckersley with 114, the visitors reached their target with just one over remaining in the game.

The Notts attack consisted mainly of Academy players who battled hard to save the game with Brett Hutton the pick of the bowlers with 2-68 from sixteen overs.

Earlier, a century opening stand between Tom Rowe and Sam Kelsall was curtailed when Rowe had to retire hurt when he had just reached his 50. Kelsall went on to make 70.

After his dismissal, Ali Brown went on the attack scoring 72 from just 45 balls including five sixes and five fours, reminding everyone of his powerful stroke play.

Ollie Swann was 36 not out as the declaration came to set up a close finish edged out by Leicestershire.
