Nottinghamshire batsman Sam Wood expects England Under 19s to bounce back from their 10-wicket warm-up defeat when they begin a seven match One Day series in Bangladesh on Friday.

Wood, who is joined on the tour by Nottinghamshire teammates Sam Kelsall, Brett Hutton and Simon Webster, scored nine runs as England were bowled out for 85, a figure surpassed by the hosts without loss.

"We took a lot from the game and it is better for a defeat like this to happen now rather than during the series.," said Wood."

On Friday we will be playing against the same team so the warm-up was a good opportunity for us to have a look at their players.

"The conditions are different from what we are used to and the wickets are slower and lower than any of us have played on. Every day is important in terms of our learning."

The first ODI will take place in Chittagong on Saturday.
