Nottinghamshire batsman James Taylor has emerged as one of the UK's leading Movember fundraisers.

The England international has already raised £2,000 for the initiative by encourging his twitter followers to donate in recognition of his commitment to sport old-fashioned facial hair for the entire month.

"It seems a simple way to draw attention and raise money for a great cause and I'm grateful to all of those that have supported me so far," said Taylor.

"I think I'm 63rd in the UK in terms of funds raised but I'm competitive and I'd like to climb the table over the next few days."

All mney raised will support the Movember Foundation which aims to address male health issues by putting a fun twist on this serious issue.

Using the moustache as a catalyst, the idea is to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health and take action when needed.
