A Nottinghamshire XI secured a resounding 183-run win against the Futures Stars of Australia in a friendly game at Lady Bay. yesterday (Wednesday).

Jake Libby and Billy Root put on an opening stand of 209 on their way to centuries, making 106 and 100 respectively. 

Wicket-keeper Tom Keast also helped himself to a score of 71 from just 36 balls, as Notts posted a mammoth score of 344 from their 50 overs. 

It took Notts just 31.4 overs to wrap up the win, bowling the Futures Stars out for 161.

Spinner Connor Marshall was the pick of the bowlers in taking 5-28 in 8.4 overs. 

Jack Blatherwick also picked up three wickets to give Notts an emphatic victory.
