Nottinghamshire’s Tom Moores has been named the club’s player of the month for June. 

The wicket-keeper scored his maiden First-Class century during the month against Somerset and currently occupies top spot in Notts’ County Championship batting averages with 38.92.

Moores also notched two fifties in consecutive games with 87 away at Essex and 56 in the day/night four-day encounter with Worcestershire at Trent Bridge. 

The 21-year-old also sits atop the six hitting chart in the County Championship after smashing 14 so far this season whilst taking four catches throughout the month.
