Haseeb Hameed has been named John Pye Auctions Player of the Month for June after scoring 366 runs in three LV= Insurance County Championship fixtures.

The right-hander began the month with a half-century versus Glamorgan before notching a record-breaking stand with Ben Duckett against Derbyshire on his way to a career-best 194.

The pair wrote themselves into the Green and Gold history books with a partnership of 402, a club record for the second wicket.

On Nottinghamshire’s return to Trent Bridge, the opener compiled a composed 94 in the second innings against Sussex, his fifth half-century of the summer.
