A swift 73 from Ben Martindale wasn’t enough to stave off defeat as Notts lost by 42 runs to Lancashire at Westhoughton Cricket Club in the Second XI T20 North Group.
The opener bludgeoned 11 fours and two sixes as the visitors made hay in the powerplay chasing 188.
That was a target aided by a 66-ball 100 from Lancashire’s Josh Bohannon.
From 59/2 after six overs, the Outlaws slipped to 118/6, however, with Martindale, who faced just 38 balls, departing in the 12th over to stunt progress.
The away side were ultimately dismissed for 146 with 2.4 overs remaining.
Earlier, Calvin Harrison proved the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-21 from his overs, while Academy seamer Thomas Giles collected two wickets.
