Following the full release of Nottinghamshire and The Blaze’s 2026 fixtures, Director of Cricket Mick Newell discussed what lies in store for both sides next summer.
Among numerous topics, Newell spoke of the positive influence of double-headers, and explained the reasoning behind the Outlaws playing a Metro Bank One Day Cup match at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield.
He also referenced the increase in standalone One Day Cup matches for The Blaze at Trent Bridge, as well as the intriguing challenge of the crossover matches that come with the new Blast format, which will see the Outlaws face Kent Spitfires for only the second time in history.
