Georgia Elwiss and Kathryn Bryce hammered record-breaking centuries as The Blaze piled up 356-4 to down Durham by a DLS-affected 59 runs at Trent Bridge.
Bryce hit the highest score by a Blaze batter in making 136, while Elwiss struck a new career-best 134 not out, with the duo sharing a stand of 233.
That partnership was a new record for the third wicket in the women’s Metro Bank One Day Cup, while the eventual total put up by the hosts was a new team-best in the List A format.
It proved beyond Durham, as despite Mady Villiers and Bess Heath’s fast fifties, a return of 4/54 from Kirstie Gordon and Grace Ballinger’s 3/44 teed up a comfortable win.
