Trent Bridge Community Trust - 2024 Impact Report
Trust News
"At the heart of the Trent Bridge Community Trust lies a deep commitment to creating opportunities, raising aspirations, and breaking down barriers – especially within the more deprived areas of our county. While our work may not always centre on cricket, the values that underpin our programmes mirror the spirit of the game: inclusion, teamwork, and perseverance.
"Through initiatives such as Positive Futures, we continue to provide mentorship, activities, and accredited qualifications to young people at risk of social exclusion and low-level crime in Rushcliffe. Meanwhile, Notts In Mind has made significant strides in supporting women’s mental and physical wellbeing, expanding from Cotgrave into Lenton to provide safe spaces to talk, learn, and grow.
"This expansion into new areas reflects a key part of our strategy: to become a recognisable and trusted presence in communities across Nottingham, especially where support is most needed. We believe that by focusing our efforts where they can have the greatest impact, we are helping to build stronger, more resilient communities.
"Our Forget Me Notts sessions, supporting those living with dementia and their carers, remain as vital and valued as ever. With attendance rising and new volunteering networks introduced, we’ve also taken care to listen to the carers’ voices – providing opportunities for connection, shared learning, and respite. These sessions offer more than support; they offer something to look forward to, week after week.
"We are working to bring the recreational cricket and Community Trust arms of our organisation closer together. While initiatives like Positive Futures and Wicketz may differ in activity, they share a common goal: to engage and uplift vulnerable young people, delivering long-term, positive outcomes.
"By aligning these efforts under one roof, we will strengthen our collective impact, foster collaboration across teams, and better connect our sporting and social initiatives. This integration will allow us to share expertise, amplify our reach, and ensure that every project – cricket-based or not – contributes to a healthier, more hopeful future for our communities.
"Together, we are proud to make a difference."
