Although limited by her international commitments, England wicketkeeper Amy Jones remains able to add significant star power to The Blaze when available.
She is a veteran of more than 250 appearances for her country since her debut in 2013, having been named among the very first group of women’s cricketers to receive a central contract.
Born in Solihull, Jones is a graduate of the Warwickshire academy, making her senior debut for the Bears, whom she continued to represent for more than a decade, aged just 14 in 2008.
She continued to develop as a member of the England Academy, which she was called up for in 2011, before her full bow followed in an ODI against Sri Lanka five years later.
Having represented Loughborough Lightning in all four editions of the Kia Super League from 2016 onwards, Jones joined Central Sparks at the beginning of the regional era in 2020.
She made the switch from West to East Midlands five years later, joining her close friend and England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt at The Blaze, for whom she has appeared sporadically since.
Jones also counts previous time with Western Australia on her CV, while her franchise experience extends to four Big Bash sides, two in The Hundred, and UP Warriorz of the WPL.
