Michaela Kirk forms a key part of The Blaze’s squad depth, and in 2026 made appearances in all three competitions on the way to a historic treble.
Born in Johannesburg, she has made in excess of 40 all-format appearances for The Blaze, and was also part of the side that lifted the Charlotte Edwards Cup in 2024.
The 27-year-old has Scottish heritage and moved to England in 2021, making her debut for then-named Lightning that same year.
She has remained with the side ever since, including through their transition to being known as The Blaze and the moving of their base to Trent Bridge.
Having moved from Northerns in the country of her birth, Kirk went on to play for Trent Rockets in the inaugural edition of The Hundred later that season.
She represented Nottinghamshire under the old domestic structure, while also having spells on loan with Essex in Tier One and Northamptonshire in Tier Two in 2026.
Kirk was most prominently involved in The Blaze’s victorious Vitality Women’s T20 County Cup campaign in 2026, with her top score coming in the quarter-final against Lancashire.
