England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is renowned across the globe as one of the finest female cricketers currently playing the game.
The daughter of a diplomat, who was born in Japan and also lived in Poland and the Netherlands, Sciver-Brunt has since become one of England’s finest-ever all-round cricketers.
She has hit over 8,000 runs and taken more than 180 wickets in over 280 appearances for her country, with the course of her career seeing a shot - the Natmeg - named after her.
A World Cup winner in 2017 alongside Tammy Beaumont and Georgia Elwiss, Sciver-Brunt has a further five trophies in her cabinet, including a Hundred title with Trent Rockets in 2026.
She was named a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2018, before later receiving the Leading Woman Cricketer in the World award from the same outlet in 2023.
Although her England commitments continue to keep her busy, she has appeared sporadically for The Blaze since joining when they moved to Trent Bridge in 2023.
Sciver-Brunt spent the first decade of her career with Surrey, later playing for the Surrey Stars for the Kia Super League’s entire existence between 2016 and 2019.
Her England debut came three years after her Surrey bow, in an ODI against Pakistan, and she has gone on to play for her country at nine World Cups and a Commonwealth Games.
She joined Northern Diamonds for the first three years of the regional structure, before switching to the East Midlands at the same time as fellow England international Sarah Glenn.
A part of Trent Rockets in The Hundred since 2021, she also counts three WBBL sides on her CV as well as Mumbai Indians of the WPL, and has won both trophies in her career.
In The Blaze’s treble-winning season of 2026, she played a pair of matches in late April as she tuned up for the T20 World Cup, helping to secure two victories on the way to three trophies.
Off the field, she married former England seamer Katherine Sciver-Brunt in May 2022, with the couple’s son Theo born in April 2025.
