Wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Bryce is the younger of the two Bryces in The Blaze’s squad, but is no less crucial to the side’s success than her fellow Scottish international sister Kathryn.
Born in Edinburgh eight days after the turn of the millennium, Bryce’s precocious talent was obvious from an early age when she made her debut for Scotland aged just 15.
She had been given her first taste of sport at a younger age than that, when she played hockey and tennis alongside Kathryn, before she was inspired into cricket when her sister joined a local club.
Together, the Bryces also represented their Edinburgh school at cricket, before Sarah joined her sister in moving to England to study at Loughborough University, where she began a maths degree in 2018.
Concurrently, she began to play for Nottinghamshire in 2019, before signing a professional deal with Lightning upon the introduction of the regional domestic structure a year later, and has remained with the side ever since through their transition to being known as The Blaze.
Signed by Oval Invincibles - now MI London - for the first edition of The Hundred, Bryce subsequently moved to Welsh Fire, where she has remained ever since, while also balancing her domestic commitments with her ongoing international career with Scotland.
In 2026, she played for her country at the T20 World Cup, as well as notching almost 450 runs as The Blaze lifted a historic treble.
