Nottinghamshire are calling on East Midlands cricket fans to help set a new record at the second npower Test with India next week.

The match at Trent Bridge starts on Friday July 27 and with only 1,000 tickets left for the Monday, is likely to produce record fourth-day advanced sales for a non-Ashes Test at the ground.

Days one, two and three are already sold out with cricket fans clamouring to watch Indian greats Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar in what may be their last tour of England.

And as an added incentive, anyone who books in advance for day four will also get free seats for the fifth and final day - at no extra cost - if the match goes that far.

Said Notts Marketing Manager Claire Harrison: “It would be great if we could see Trent Bridge sold out for the first four days of the Test, as the last time we did that was for the Ashes in 2005.

“Clearly supporters can’t get enough entertainment from international cricket and we’ve been delighted with the response.

“Seeing a full ground gives a massive boost to the reputation and economy of the region and we’re confident this will be another special occasion.”

The remaining seats are located in the alcohol-free Fox Road Stand, priced at £20 and perfect for family bookings, while seats are also available in the William Clarke Stand at £22.

Bookings can be made in person at the Trent Bridge Ticket Office, by calling 0870 168 8888 or online at www.nottsccc.co.uk.
