The England and Wales Cricket Board is pleased to announce totesport as the latest and final partner to the Twenty20 Cup.

The deal for 2007 starts with immediate effect and gives totesport branding and advertising rights at all Twenty20 Cup matches.

The Twenty20 Cup continues to go from strength to strength and 2007 sees it enter its fifth domestic year. This year Twenty20 Cup Finals day will take place at Edgbaston on Saturday August 4.

The shortened format is also established on the international scene with South Africa hosting the inaugural Twenty20 World Championships in September this year, with England hosting the tournament in 2009.

ECB Commercial Director John Perera said: “The ECB is delighted to welcome totesport back to cricket; this time as a Twenty20 Cup partner.

“We had a successful relationship with them throughout their sponsorship of the totesport League in 2004 and 2005 and I am confident that this partnership will prove just as rewarding.”

Trevor Beaumont, Chief Executive of the tote commented: “ Following the success of the totesport League we always wanted to get back into cricket sponsorship and to become a partner of the Twenty20 Cup is a fantastic opportunity.

“This deal emphasizes the fact that totesport will, if the opportunity is right for the brand, look to supplement our traditionally strong support for horseracing with other high quality sporting events, of which the Twenty20 Cup is right at the top.”
