Graeme Swann claims the players are all determined to get things right and bounce straight back from Championship relegation after reporting back for pre-season training today.

Almost the entire first team squad were being put through their paces for fitness drills and practice sessions ahead of a short spell in Portugal for warm-weather training.

And Swann has highlighted a real sense of purpose from all his team-mates ahead of the opening friendly of the season against Kent on April 5.

He said: "There's a sense for us that 'this is the year' and we all want to turn things around after the way last season finished.

"It's our own fault we're down in Division Two and we're all determined to get out of there at the first time of asking.

"It's nice coming back to pre-season - it's a bit like going back to school after a holiday and meeting up with your mates. There's a bit of excitement about it and we've all got straight back into training with a real enthusiasm."
