Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club wishes to appoint a Community Sports Trust Manager as part of a restructure of its leading edge community and cricket development work.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, and leading a team of five, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to further strengthen the position of the Club at the very heart of the community it serves.

You will be accountable for all community and cricket programmes involving schools, clubs and public and private sector partners right across the County. A team of Development Officers will deliver the programmes but you will be expected to provide strategic vision, decisive leadership, guidance and support to further develop the team and the role of the department. A key element of the role will be delivering the objectives of the England & Wales Cricket Board and Local and Government Authorities to ensure maximum funding for the Club is secured.

Your background may already be in sport, within either the public or private sector. Relevant experience, a positive attitude, leadership qualities and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels will be important requirements.

An understanding of the various public/private sector funding streams and how to access them would be a distinct advantage, as would financial acumen.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking organisation and candidates should apply with a full CV and covering letter, indicating current remuneration, to Keith Porter at kcp@advance.tv. Alternatively write to Keith at Advance Selection, 6 Millennium City Park, Bluebell Way, Preston, Lancashire PR2 5PY.

Closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday 26th March 2008.
