Only 13 overs were possible on day two at New Road as rain frustrated Nottinghamshire's attempts to move into a winning position against Worcestershire.
In what little play was possible, Notts took less than eight overs to finish off the hosts, who lost their last three wickets for 20 runs to finish 334 all out.
Mark Ealham struck twice to finish with 3-40, while Andre Adams added one more scalp to his tally to claim 4-81, with Gareth Andrew unbeaten on 92 for Worcestershire.
Only five overs were bowled in the Notts first innings before rain returned, but that was still enough time for a wicket to fall, with Scott Newman edging Imran Arif to Daryl Mitchell in the slips.
Notts will resume on 9-1 and will need better weather - and some fast scoring - if they are to engineer their first victory in eight Championship games and close the gap on leaders Durham.
