Mark Wagh and Scott Newman will open the batting for Nottinghamshire against Yorkshire as Mick Newell continues his search for a fruitful opening partnership.

Wagh and Newman will become the seventh opening pair of the season with Alex Hales taking his place at number three after catching the eye with an unbeaten 150 against Worcestershire on Saturday.

Notts and Yorkshire drew at Scarborough in July after David Hussey scored 189 in the first innings. Notts are without an overseas player in this fixture following Adam Voges promotion to Australia’s ODI squad.

Samit Patel, Bilal Shafayat and Ali Brown complete the middle order of a deep batting line-up with all-rounders Mark Ealham and Paul Franks amongst the pace attack.

Darren Pattinson and Charlie Shreck are also included with Chris Read captaining the side.

Play begins at 10.30am.
