Graeme White and Steven Mullaney will be named in the Notts Outlaws line-up to face Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road on Sunday.

Both new recruits harbour ambitions to force their way into contention for LV= County Championship fixtures this season and Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell has challenged them to use the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition as a springboard.

“We looked a poor fielding team in one day cricket last season but we’ll be more dynamic this season because of the signings we’ve made and the work we’ve done to address our weaknesses,” said Newell.

“Mullaney made a hundred in this week’s second eleven fixture and White bowled well so I’ve got no qualms about giving them an opportunity to show what they can do in this competition.”

Newell has also assured Alex Hales, Chris Read, Hashim Amla and Darren Pattinson of a place in the side but will make a late decision on the final eleven having named a 13-man squad.
