Neil Edwards, Jake Ball and Ben Phillips have been included in the Notts Outlaws team to face Somerset in Sunday's Clydesdale Bank 40 opener at Trent Bridge.

The trio were involved in Nottinghamshire's Second Eleven victories this week and will be joined by academy graduate Scott Elstone.

Alex Hales, Samit Patel, Adam Voges and Chris Read will add depth to the batting order with Graeme White and Luke Fletcher in the bowling attack.

"Somerset are perhaps the best one day team in the country and they'll be fired up after coming so close to winning this competition last season," said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

"We've made a few changes after the Yorkshire match but our players should be feeling good about themselves after the performances we've seen from the first and second teams this week.

"We want to field relatively young teams in this competition this season and the likes of Andre Adams and Charlie Shreck will be preserved for four-day matches."

Play starts at 1.45pm.
