Australian internationals David Hussey and Adam Voges will play alongside each other for the first time when Notts Outlaws face Derbyshire Falcons in the season's first Friends Life t20 fixture at Trent Bridge (play starts 6pm).

Tickets will be available from the sales points on Bridgford Road for supporters yet to secure their seats.

Hussey helped Notts progress to the semi-finals of the competition last season and will captain a new look side likely to feature Riki Wessels and Alex Hales at the top of the batting order.

Samit Patel and Chris Read will complete an impressive top six leaving difficult selection decisions in the pace attack for Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

Darren Pattinson was the Outlaws' most effective bowler last season and is likely to get the nod with Ben Phillips also renowned in this format.

"We want to start the competition well and an air of confidence makes the competition very enjoyable to play in," said Newell.

"We're happy to have David Hussey and Adam Voges united in our team and having two overseas batsmen gives a bit more responsibility to our bowlers.

"If we can bat strongly then we believe we have the bowling experience to defend it and our game plan will be based around runs and big hits."

The likely inclusion of Pattinson and Phillips leaves Scott Elstone and Graeme White competing for the second spinner and number eight batting slot with Steven Mullaney expected to fit in at number seven.

The final place on the team sheet will be contested by Luke Fletcher, Andy Carter and Jake Ball.
