The Notts Academy found their fixture against Caythorpe abandoned early into the second innings, amassing a total of 250, the last two wickets worth 66.

After winning the toss, Notts lost opener Tom Rowe with the fifth ball, trapped by Haines to leave the score 1-1.  Hassan Azad added seven before being bowled by the same man, and Kelsall knocked 34 before being bowled by Hindson in the 18th over. At 60-3 Adam Tillcock joined Sam Wood and both looked set for their 50s before the former was caught for 43 off Hindson.

After Sam Wood made his half century in the 34th, Notts started to leak wickets. Cross departed for 2, before Wood was caught off Hemmings for 55.  George Bacon added 11 before being bowled, and Luke Wood was stumped an over later, leaving Notts on 184-8. Hutton (36) played steadily through the collapse, and alongside Parkin-Coates (40) saw the Academy pass the 200 mark and despite both batsmen falling in the final of the 50 overs, Notts doing well to accumulate a total of 250.

The Caythorpe reply was halted initially by Ben Kitt, who trapped Mierkalns for 3 before heavy rain ended proceedings completely in the 14th over, leaving the match abandoned.
