Michael Lumb and Alex Hales will face-off against Graham Onions when Notts Outlaws face Durham Dynamos at Trent Bridge on Friday (play starts 6pm).

Onions, a member of England’s Investec Ashes Series squad, has been cleared to play in the match with Durham also set to include Paul Collingwood who returns having recovered from a finger injury.

Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell will select from an unchanged 13-man squad with Riki Wessels and Andy Carter the only players sidelined through injury.

Ajmal Shahzad, Harry Gurney and Jake Ball seem set to compete for two bowling spots with Ian Butler in the side having been signed specifically to play twenty20 matches.

A warm weather forecast and fervent interest in the wake of last week’s Ashes Test at Trent Bridge has seen a surge in ticket sales with officials hoping to attract an attendance in the region of 10,000. Supporters who have pre-purchased tickets are advised to collect them as early as possible to avoid queues at the collection point.

One lucky supporter will win £150 of shopping vouvhers during the interval courtesy of John Lewis Nottingham with BBC East Midlands Today presenter Colin Hazelden set to host the match entertainment.

Tickets will remain on sale on the day of the game.
