Fruitful bowling spells from Graeme White (4-21) and Paul Franks (3-16) helped Nottinghamshire’s Second Eleven to a 35-run Trophy victory over Durham.

Having lost the toss and batted first, Notts had slipped to 13-2 after Hassan Azad and Tom Rowe failed to score. A 47-run stand between White and Sam Kelsall started a rally from the home side although Sam Wood and Franks failed to make double digit contributions.

Adam Tilcock’s 30 helped Notts to 157 all out from 37 overs before Durham slipped to 27-2. The key wicket of Richardson allowed White and Franks to rip through the lower and middle order as six wickets fell for 22 runs in less than eight overs.
