Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read has received a penalty under the ECB’s discipline code following a show of dissent in the LV= County Championship draw against Yorkshire at Headingley.
Read was reported by umpires Martin Saggers and Alex Wharf for a Level 1 breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action) following his demonstration of displeasure at his first innings run out.
Read has escaped penalty points but has been officially reprimanded.
