Australia had England's number in the winter and for Michael Lumb they also have the edge when it comes to their Twenty20 League.

The Nottinghamshire batsman cannot speak highly enough of his time in the Big Bash with the Sydney Sixers.

Playing in front of packed houses is something that drives the England batsman and he hopes to see a 10,000-plus crowd at Trent Bridge tonight in the Natwest T20 Blast.

He said: "Big Bash was a great experience. I had a great time with the Sixers.

"The Big Bash is pretty different. At this point in time it's better I reckon.

"I would say it's the best going in the world at the moment. We didn't play in front of crowds of less than 20,000.

"The wickets are good, the competition is good and it's a real party atmosphere.

"It would be good if we had big crowds here for the games.

"You get a big crowd behind you and it drives you on.

"Trent Bridge is a great place to play cricket when it's full."
