Should you be visiting us for the Family Fun Day as Nottinghamshire face Warwickshire on Saturday 22 August, this match-day guide contains all the information you need to ensure maximum enjoyment from your day out at Trent Bridge. 

Match Day Activities

We are laying-on a host of family fun entertainment aimed at maximising the experience of this family fun occasion between 10am and 4pm.

Visit our face painters, bouncy castle – and leave the little ones a the crèche – all of which are situated via the ticket office near the pavilion.

In the Trent Bridge Inn Courtyard, meanwhile, samba drumming workshop will run alongside the Cricket Factory which is a fun and entertaining way for people of all ages and abilities to take part in throwing, catching and batting activities. The factory will be just one of three cricket activity zones within the courtyard.

For a behind-the-scenes view celebrating the rich history and tradition of Trent Bridge, a tour of the ground will depart from the ticket office at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm, for which places can be booked in advance from the Ticket Office (please book in half an hour or more in advance).

Nuts the Squirrel will be around the ground for your entertainment, and the entire Nottinghamshire team – which includes a number of big name international cricketers - will sign autographs pitchside in-front of the pavilion shortly after close of play. 

Activities in the New Stand Concourse will include caricaturist Peter Dredge, a second hand book and magazine stall, smoothie bikes and a healthy living unit.

All of the above entertainment is free of charge. Please ask a steward should you require directions to any of the above listed areas or for further information. 

Hours of Play

Gates open at 9am, with start of play scheduled for 11am. The first session will take place between 11am and 1pm, before a 40 minute Lunch interval. The afternoon session will then take place between 1.40pm and 3.40pm (or when 32 overs remain, whichever is later) before a 20 minute Tea interval. The scheduled close of play is at 6pm.

Tickets are priced at just £1 with all proceeds to the Trent Bridge Community Trust, the official charity that changes the lives of young people in the county of Nottinghamshire.

Food & Drink

A range of outlets, serving local Nottinghamshire food, will be situated at the ground for you to enjoy.

Situated in the Trent Bridge Inn courtyard, Dodson’s Fish & Chips and Gallop Farm Burger & Sausage offer a range of foods for anyone’s taste, including a vegetarian baguette option at the burger units.

The Cricketers’ Suite, situated on the first floor of the Radcliffe Road Stand, serves hot and cold foods as well as vegetarian and gluten free options.

A number of ice cream outlets are also available, situated in a variety of locations around the ground. Smoothie bikes will also be in attendance, providing a healthy and refreshing alternative to enjoy in the sun.

If you still wish to bring your own meals, ensure that any food or soft drinks are in plastic or cardboard containers. On the other hand, it is not permitted to bring any alcohol, cans, glassware or metal cutlery into the ground.

Car Parking

Car Parking for spectators is available priced at £3 (£2 for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Members) on the Nottingham Forest Car Park (access off Lady Bay Bridge) and Notts Sports Ground (NG2 5AA).

Travelling By Bicycle

Riders are able to park their bikes at the ground until an hour after close of play. 

Travelling By Bus

Discounted bus travel has also been secured thanks to a partnership with Nottingham City Transport.

Ticket holders will be able to travel on Nottingham City Transport buses for £2 when they show a valid match ticket or membership to the driver.

Travelling By Tram

The nearest tram stop, Station Street, is just a 15-minute walk from the ground, and anyone travelling from outside the city can take advantage of NET’s free park and ride facilities.

As an added incentive to take the tram, NET will be running its £2 return event ticket offer for all match and season ticket holders.

To take advantage of the deal, fans need to select the Event Ticket option from the ticket vending machine before boarding the tram, and make sure they have their match or season ticket to hand in case of a ticket inspection.
