Nottinghamshire’s Second XI face their annual three day trip to Lincolnshire starting tomorrow, with Michael Lumb and Brendan Taylor set to feature.

The middle-order duo has featured in each of their county’s three first class matches so far. However, with the first team not in action this week, both are taking the opportunity to spend some valuable time in the middle.

Elsewhere in the batting line-up, Sam Wood is hoping to continue the form that saw him post a century and a fifty against Warwickshire.

England U19s wicketkeeper Tom Moores retains his place in the batting line-up after registering a half-century for the Academy against Clifton.

Paul Franks will captain the side in his first second team appearance since retiring from the first class game at the conclusion of the 2015 campaign.

The seam attack he can call upon with the ball includes two of the Club’s breakthrough performers of the 2015 campaign, Brett Hutton and Luke Wood, alongside the experienced Will Gidman and Academy prospect Ben Kitt.

Off-spinner Matthew Carter has the opportunity to take on the county he has represented with distinction in 26 minor counties matches.

Nottinghamshire Second XI team to face Lincolnshire: Matthew Carter, Anuj Dal, Paul Franks, Will Gidman, Brett Hutton, Ben Kitt, Michael Lumb, Tom Moores, Brendan Taylor, Luke Wood and Sam Wood.
