Jack Blatherwick celebrated his call-up for England Under-19s by taking a wicket in the second Youth Test against India at Worcester.

The 19-year-old Nottingham-born year-old seamer trapped Rahul Chahar lbw for 25 and finished with figures of 1-64 from 15 overs as India rallied from 106-7 to be 292 all out, batting first.

Surrey all-rounder Ryan Patel, who claimed 4-21, was the most impressive of England’s bowlers, while Warwickshire’s Henry Brookes took 2-34 but might have finished with better figures had luck been on his side.

In reply, England lost opening batsman Harry Brook, which left them 19 for 1 at the close.
