Having won promotion to the top division of the 50-over competition in 2016, Nottinghamshire Women have bolstered their squad with the signing of Jodie Dibble, Lucy Higham and Megan Burton, joining from Devon, Leicestershire and Wales respectively.

Dibble becomes one of three Nottinghamshire players, alongside Odedra and Georgie Boyce, with Kia Super League experience having been part of the Western Storm squad for the inaugural tournament.

“It’s going to be a tough year for the team after gaining promotion in the one-day cup last season but, I’m looking forward to the challenge and to testing myself in Division One,” she said.

Higham is part of the England Women’s Academy over the past winter and says she couldn't turn down the opportunity to join Nottinghamshire.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with some great talent. The girls have been so welcoming and there’s a really good atmosphere around, so I’m really excited to get out there and see what the season holds,” said Higham.

Meanwhile, Burton showcased her talent with the bat in front of her new coaches when scoring a fifty against Nottinghamshire at Welbeck last summer.

“My grandfather played for Nottinghamshire Seconds and in many ways it feels like I am coming home after spending the first years of my life in Nottingham".
