Sixteen wickets fell on the second day of Nottinghamshire's opening Specsavers County Championship match of the summer, as Jake Ball took a five-wicket haul in helping bowl Lancashire out for 158.

Steven Mullaney opted for no toss and stuck Lancashire in on the second morning, after the entire first day had been washed out due to persistent rain and a wet outfield.

Ball was the pick of the bowlers with 5-43, whilst there were also two wickets apiece for Luke Wood and Harry Gurney, along with the scalp of Shivnarine Chanderpaul for the returning Luke Fletcher.

Nottinghamshire then responded with 127-6, still trailing by 31 runs. You can watch highlights of the first day in the video above.
